RWTH Use case: the tool trolley’s steering with gesture

In A4BLUE (RWTH use case) we are developing an autonomous tool trolley to support workers in performing their assembly tasks. In this video RWTH is testing a small scale prototype platform of the intelligent and autonomous tool trolley as part of the smart assembly workplace. The tool trolley is equipped with a Microsoft® Kinect to detect the worker. This enables the trolley to follow the worker’s hand for detailed positioning as well as to turn around according to predefined gestures. The turning function is tested with a 360° turn.
